Luz Marina & Menage

Music of Venezuela

"Luz Marina's music reveals charm and poetry rarely seen in our authors, and it is mandatory to listen to this production and pay especial attention to her words, just as someone pays attention to the lover's skin. Poetry is present in her voice too, always been an erotic instrument; but this time there is something subtle in it, something close to its boiling point"

Leonardo Padrón wrote this words about  "Coincidencias", the most recent album of Venezuelan singer/songwriter Luz Marina, her first work as composer, where she shows her poetry and music with style and language of its own. Her music is essentially acoustic, intimate and eclectic, and demonstrates that Luz Marina is perhaps one of the most complete and genuine artists of our time.

Luz Marina will be debuting with some of the most outstanding musicians of South Florida 'Menage', including Vinicio Ludovic, piano, arranger, producer; José Gregorio Hernández, percussion;  Hernán Matute, contrabass; Pablo Gil, sax;  and very special guest Saul Vera, bandola llanera (a stringed instrument from the lute family played in the Venezuelan plains since the 16th century). Luz Marina will be interpreting her own compositions as well as traditional Venezuelan music by Aldemaro Romero and Simón Díaz.
