Women’s Drum and Dance Ensemble Venus Rising, is a multi-ethnic performance troupe dedicated to creating works that uplift and inspire.  This talented group of women percussionists and dancers explores West African, Caribbean, Brazilian and Middle Eastern rhythms, movements and songs. The group works their percussive magic on djembes, dununs, riqs, frame drums, doumbeks, cajons, krins, shekeres, congas, and agogo bells.
