Tchaikovsky Violin Competition Prizewinner
Virtuoso violinist Eric Silberger (prize winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow) plays solos and joins violist Michael Klotz, cellist Jason Calloway,  and pianist Adolfo Vidal for an evening of chamber music at the beautiful and cozy Miami Lakes Congregational Church.
 
Eric Silberger is a prize winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Michael Hill International Violin Competition in 2011. His performances have been described by critics as “spine-tingling…astonishing” (The Guardian), “dazzling virtuoso playing” (The Washington Post), “impeccable level of playing, a wonderful musician” (Heather Kurzbauer, The Strad), and “ ….he has got everything in his favour, technique, composure and personality. We are on the eve of a great soloist” (El Pais, Spain).
 
Eric has performed as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States and around the world, including solo performances with the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Mariinsky Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, London Philharmonia, Danish National Symphony, Orquesta Sinfónica de México, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, among others. Conductor collaborations include Lorin Maazel, Valery Gergiev, Dimitri Kitajenko, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Donald Runnicles, Robin Ticciati, and others. He has appeared at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Louvre in Paris, the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, The Moscow International House of Music in Russia, Shanghai Grand Theatre in China, Royal Festival Hall in London, Seoul Arts Center in Korea, the National Arts Centre in Canada, and more. Among numerous television and radio appearances in the United States, Asia, and Europe, he was featured on Radio France, STV in China, KBS in Korea, and WQXR, WFYI, FOX 59, WISH-TV, and NPR, among others.
 
Passionately dedicated to chamber music, Michael Klotz regularly performs with many of today’s most esteemed artists, appearing as guest violist with Shanghai, Ying, and Borromeo String Quartets, and collaborating with artists such as Shmuel Ashkenasi, Arnold Steinhardt, James Ehnes, Vadim Gluzman, Gary Hoffman, Michael Tree, Robert DeMaine, Andres Diaz, Roberto Diaz, James Tocco, William VerMuelen, Joel Smirnoff, Marc Johnson, Clive Greensmith, Franklin Cohen, Anthony McGill and Alexander Fiterstein, as well as with principal players from major U.S. orchestras. In 2002 and 2009, he was was invited by Maestro Jaime Laredo to perform with distinguished alumni at anniversary concerts of the New York String Orchestra Seminar in Carnegie Hall. Klotz is a member of the Amernet String Quartet and holds degrees in music from Eastman School and Juilliard.
 
Cellist Jason Calloway has performed to acclaim throughout North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East as soloist and chamber musician. He has appeared at festivals including Lucerne, Spoleto USA, Darmstadt, Klangspuren (Austria), Acanthes (France), Perpignan, Valencia, Citta’ della Pieve (Italy), Jerash (Jordan), Casals (Puerto Rico), Blossom, Brevard, Great Lakes, Kingston, Rockport, Sedona, Sarasota, Music Academy of the West, the New York String Seminar, and Encore. Currently cellist of the Amernet String Quartet, Artists-in-Residence at Florida International University in Miami, Mr. Calloway was previously a member of the Naumburg award-winning Biava Quartet, formerly in residence at the Juilliard School.
 
Pianist Adolfo Vidal has been hailed as an "exciting and compelling pianist” and his playing praised for his “musical and effortless virtuosity.” Selected performances have been broadcast on Radio and TV, such as WQXR New York and WLRN Public Television in Miami. He has pursued an international career as a pianist, performing solo, chamber, with orchestra, and Festivals in North and South America and Europe. Adolfo Vidal began piano studies in his native Venezuela and continued in the United States and Canada at the Royal Conservatory of Music and Frost School.
