The union of two enormously talented childhood prodigies (husband and wife) Tao Lin and Catherine Lan: Duo Beaux Arts, have  played on numerous stages in the US and abroad with some of the greatest chamber soloists of our time. Their formidable talents will be showcased at this concert of piano duets and solo pieces.

Tao Lin was born into a musical family in Shanghai, concert pianist and Steinway artist Tao Lin began piano lessons at aged four and in less than five years had made his first public appearance and gained entrance to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has since performed in concert around the world, has been a regular guest artist at numerous music festivals and is a prolific recording artist.

Catherine Lan made her international debut in Japan at the age of 8 after winning a Yamaha original composition competition. Since then she has appeared frequently as a featured soloist with a number of leading orchestras, has made numerous appearances with celebrated chamber ensembles, and has performed solo recitals on TV and radio. Dr. Lan has been the winner of many scholarships, prestigious awards and competitions, including the Canadian Broadcast Corporation National Debut Competition.
