Mozart Piano Concerti

Piano & String Quartet (arr. by G. Loff)

Geoffrey Loff (Oct. 12, 1989 Miami, Fl) had an ear for music from an early age, excelling on both violin and piano. At 13, he was taken under tutelage of renowned pedagogue and musicologist Professor Frank Cooper. In 2006, at age 16, Geoffrey was awarded the Bertha Foster Scholarship at the University of Miami (UM) Frost School of Music, where he recently graduated with his Master's Degree in Collaborative Piano and held the teaching assistantship as the staff pianist for the Frost Opera Theatre Company. In January 2011, Geoffrey continued his studies with the opera department; he performed an all Libby Larsen concert, featuring his arrangement of her opera Frankenstein for two pianos, where Libby Larsen personally lauded him "the man with the flying fingers."

Geoffrey is a recurring performer at the Mainly Mozart Festival, having had his 6th appearance in the festival this April. In June he took part in a month-long workshop at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, which culminated in Geoffrey’s accompanying a full recital of Rachmaninoff Songs in addition to his work as the Chorus master for the Opera Aleko. Most recently, Geoffrey has begun his tenure as the music director and performance pianist for The Atlanta Opera’s community outreach Opera. In July Geoffrey will be a young artist at Opera North in New Hampshire and in August will begin his contract as Resident Artist for Minnesota Opera.

Stephanie Safont began to take formal piano lessons at four years of age.  She is nine years old.  Stephanie studies piano with Sahily Canovas; and Music Theory and Solfege with Sonia McCormack.  She also is one accepted student of the Miami International Music Academy ~The Academy~ piano program,  under the direction of Dr. Adolfo Vidal.  Stephanie having been accepted into The Academy participates in regular master classes with the likes of Tian Ying, Roberta Rust, Ivan Davis, Margarita Shevchenko, Kemal Gekic, JB Floyd and Susan Starr.

In the past three years, Stephanie has played at numerous recitals and events; and has played regularly at the Steinway Piano Gallery in Coral Gables, Florida.  She has events coming up in the next couple of months and is presently looking to participate in piano and talent competitions locally in Miami and throughout Florida. She plans to compete on a national and eventually an international level.  Stephanie recently participated in the National Piano Auditions where she received 33 out of a possible 35 Commendations and was given a Superior Plus Top Talent Circle Rating.
